Continous improvement of quality, minimizing friction by producing zero-defect, no-noise bearings, is ORS's main aim.

Advanced Metrology, Metallography and Chemical Laboratories at ORS, are maintained and fully equipped to control material quality. Quality control and measurement at each step of production is the ORS standard.

ORS Quality Assurance laboratories are TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited subcontractors of Turkish Standards Institute (TSE).

Measurements vital for bearing production such as roundness, form and surface roughness are performed around the clock. These measurements for production and calibration of masters are made according to international standards.

ORS operates around the clock, and so do laboratories. Measurements at 20000 X magnification on roundness values and 150000 X on raceway form and surface roughness, ensure the narrowest of allowable limits.

Chemical Laboratory

PH level, corrosion, stability, nitried, boron, dropping point, flash point, penetration, viscosity measurements, as well as testing of cutting fluids, conservation oils and greases. Spectral analysis of greases, oils, emulsions, is done to ensure bearing performance, and to protect against human health hazards.

Fully equipped and accredited metallography laboratories, inspect all incoming material. Hardness, chemical composition, microstructure, microcleanliness, and tensile strength, are all tested.

Engineering

Bearings are designed with the use of sophisticated CAD systems. Customer requirements and application factors are reviewed by Engineering, and suggestions, technical information, assembly parameters are readily available. Engineering is continually researching higher performance products and manufacturing methods.
